Letter tracing worksheets, from a model to memory

Every letter has a separate capital and lowercase worksheet. Begin by tracing the dashed models, practice starting from a dot, copy beside a model, then try the letter without a model. A word row puts the letter into something you can read and write. Download an individual sheet, a two-page letter pair, or the full alphabet pack.

Before the worksheet, watch the stroke animation and try the quiz. The quiz checks the writing lines, where each stroke starts and stops, and whether you can follow the path with a finger, mouse or stylus. All examples use the same authored letterforms as Scribble’s handwriting course.

Which letter should we learn first?

This alphabetical index makes a letter easy to find. Teaching order serves a different purpose. For a child starting in pre-K, we suggest lines and shapes, then capitals, then lowercase letters. Children with some writing experience can begin a paired-letter sequence that introduces sounds, spelling and useful words early.
